Emergent Church opposes Christianity

Emergent Church opposes Christianity

By Pastor Missionary David Cox

Summary: In this edition of my blog, I explain and identify how the emergent church opposes Christianity. This is our foe taking a very persistent and open form.

As I have been visiting new churches trying to raise more support for our ministry, something is wrong. Seems every time I have had to return and do more deputation to raise more money, I have to “remake myself”. I do this by by analyzing what I am, what I am called to do, and putting that forth to churches to try to get them interested in me. It has been a difficult thing over my entire ministry and life. It never gets easy it seems.

But this time, things are very different. Nobody is interested it seems. As I analyze this, I am finding that things are worse than I had ever imagined. One thing is that I am not very “appeasing” to people, but what I am finding is shocking and highly discouraging…

What is the “work of God”?

What is the “work of God”?

What is the “work of God”?
By David Cox

Let us be clear about what the work of God is. There is only one thing that can be at the heart of God’s plan, work, and will, and that has to be the salvation of men’s souls. Why? Defend this from the Bible, David. Okay.

First of all, God is not limited or under constraint, but God makes and imposes “the rules of the game.” If God was to have wanted salvation to come by means of killing an animal, by works, by baptism, or by any of a thousand ways false religions say you get saved, God could have done it any of those ways. But God chose what He chose.

Loving the Preeminence represses the rest

Loving the Preeminence represses the rest explains how a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” can be seen by his desire to be preeminent among the brethren. This is especially seen in how they always want to “steal” the lime light from the other ministers.

1John 1:9 I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. 10 Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church. 11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

Destruction of a Good Preacher

By Pastor David Cox

What about the destruction of a Good Preacher? Let’s say for a moment that you preach the messages that God gives you, and that you do it in a very excellent manner. In other words, you “get through to” people with those messages. People’s lives change, but also very important, you are being effective for the Lord. Just suppose for a moment that this happens occasionally and then more often. How does Satan destroy you? Because he will not give up opposing what you are doing, so he will tempt you with temptation, but you resist. He will imply that you sin (which you do sin) but that doesn’t derail your ministry. What next?

Criticism, the weapon which is a sword with two edges.
