Suffering and affliction is a necessary part of salvation. It is a complete lie when people say that once you are saved, everything will be great, everything will turn around, and you will healthy, wealthy, and rosy.
The road of salvation, and the way of Christ is a hard road to walk. God made it that way for Christ, and the disciple is not above his master. We must show our dedication and committment to Christ through suffering what God sees fit to send our way.
